Description: A scorpion is an invertebrate animal with eight legs, belonging to the order Scorpiones in the class Arachnida.

Habitats: Africa, the Americas and Central Asia

Behavior: Scorpions use their venom to kill or paralyze their prey so that it can be eaten; in general it is fast acting, allowing for effective prey capture. They are nocturnal, finding shelter during the day in the relative cool places. They come out at night to hunt and feed.
